The Labourers' International Union of North America, Local 625 represents nearly 1000 local workers in the industrial, commercial, institutional, heavy civil, residential, broader power, and utility construction sectors. Our Membership is as diverse in skills as they are in functionality. We take pride in every project we are found building with the knowledge that our labour contributes to tangible and touchstone projects that benefit our local economy.

This construction season marks the beginning of what will ultimately be the largest infrastructure project in Ontario's history. The Windsor Essex Parkway project will single- handedly double our regions construction activity. A vital link to our trading partners in Michigan and the broader United States will be built and will facilitate free flow of goods, services and people between our two Nations. As Labourers, we welcome the engineering challenge that the scope of this project presents and we have been in preparation

for its construction for over six years.

LiUNA! Members also recognize that with this opportunity comes a responsibility to give back to our community. As a result, LiUNA Local 625 has committed to long term financial support for many agencies including The United Way and The Brentwood Recovery Home.

Through the LiUNA! "Champions for Change" charitable fund we will enhance our commitment to these two vital organizations as well as countless others within our community.

As a brighter day for this region's economy seems to be on the horizon, we pause to honour those before us who fought to build a unified labour movement for generations to follow. Our victories today come only through their battles waged. The struggle continues, and we continue in their spirit.
